Need words for a song, fast? The Random Song Lyrics Generator puts together original song lyrics in one click: a full song with two verses, a chorus and a bridge, or just a verse, a chorus or a few lines. Pick a genre, a mood and a topic, and every line in the song fits all three.
Every line was written for this site, and every line rhymes and makes sense on its own. Nothing is pieced together word by word, so you won't get nonsense. The lyrics are clean and family friendly, so they're fine for school, for kids and for anyone.
Choose the Song part you want: a Full song, a Verse, a Chorus, or Just lines. With Just lines you can pick how many lines you want, from 2 to 20. Then pick a Genre (Pop, Country, Rock, Hip-hop, Folk, or Kids and campfire), a Mood (Happy, Sad, Hopeful, Calm, Fired up or Funny) and a Topic, like Love, Friendship, Summer, Road trip or Holidays. Leave any of them on Any and the generator picks one for you. A new choice in any menu shows new lyrics straight away. Under More options you can choose the Rhyme pattern. The Copy link under the song copies all of it, with the [Verse] and [Chorus] labels, ready to paste. Use the arrows next to the button to go back to a song you liked.

A random song lyrics generator is a tool that puts together song lyrics for you. This one builds each song from about 2,800 original lines, all sorted by topic, genre and mood, and it shows the song with the verse, chorus and bridge labels.
No. Every line was written for this site. None of them come from real songs, so you won't find a famous chorus here, just new lyrics to sing, change or build on.
Yes. Every line is checked before it goes on the site, and there are no bad words, no grown-up topics and no drinking or fighting. Sad songs are about missing someone or moving on. That makes the lyrics fine for school and for kids.
They are rhyme patterns. Each letter stands for a line, and lines with the same letter rhyme. In AABB, lines rhyme in pairs: the first two rhyme with each other, then the next two. In ABCB, only every other line rhymes: the second and the fourth. Leave Rhyme pattern on Any and you get a mix of both.
Because that's how most songs work. The verses tell the story and change each time, and the chorus comes back the same way after each verse and after the bridge, so it's the part everyone remembers. The song's title comes from its chorus.
A few choices don't have enough lines yet to make a whole song, like a Sad song for Kids and campfire. Then the generator borrows lines from another genre or mood, and a short note under the song tells you so. Pick a different mood or genre to get a song that fits all of your choices.
